Dear Potential Speaker,
Steinbeck Rotary Club meets the first and third Wednesday morning of each month at Digital NEST located at 210 Salinas St., Salinas, CA 93901. It’s the old Salinas Firehouse and really…you can’t miss it!
Speakers are encouraged to bring their own electronics such as computers and wireless presenters (you know, the “clicker”). WIFI is available if needed. A big screen, microphone and amp will be provided. If you have special requirements, please email us at info@steinbeckrotary.org.

We are excited for our last speaker for the 2024/2025 Rotary year, Dr. Rahul Bathija, DPT, PT, CSCS, ACSM-EP, the founder and owner of RPE Fitness (Rehab, Perform, Evolve). He will be speaking to us about the gap between physical therapy and long-term fitness.

2025 Sea Otter Classic "Beer Pouring" Fundraiser
We are once again being asked to pour beer for the 2025 Sea Otter Classic. The cool kids just call is the SOC! We will put up the link to the volunteer site just as soon as it is ready. This is our annual “volunteer to serve beer” opportunity to help the club raise money for our community projects.

Field Trip to the California Welcome Center
Today at 7:45 am, the Club is taking a field trip to the California Welcome Center located at just left of the Salinas Train Station at One Station Place, Salinas. Learn how the Southern Pacific railroad made Salinas the Salad Bowl of the World. Join us for a guided tour by Craig Kaufman, the Executive Director of the Salinas Valley Tourism & Visitors Bureau.

Paralympic Gold Medalist, Jennifer Barrett
Our speaker on August 7th will be Jennifer Barrett. Jennifer is a Gonzales native and Paralympic Gold Medalist. Barrett represented the United States at the 1996 Summer Paralympics at Atlanta and the 2000 games in Sydney. This is a rare speaking appearance for Jennifer so we are really looking forward to this week. Join us!
